A1. Roaring Twenties
A2. Roaring Twenties (Inigo Kennedy Remix)
B1. Lost Generation
B2. 19th Amendment
The Roaring Twenties is hopeful time for peace, a burgeoning economy, with progressive rights for all. A humble group of artists continues to create, share and evolve.
Roaring Twenties offers three mesmerizing rolling bass groove tracks by Deepak Sharma centered around being powerful and effective late-night DJ tools. Included is a potent, raw remix from Inigo Kennedy.
Side A begins with Roaring Twenties, its looping and hypnotic design will catch dancers immediately as they feel it through unyielding, timely percussive changes. Techno dignitary Inigo Kennedy offers an organic, stripped down and forceful remix that will push dancers through the night.
Side B begins with Lost Generation, its capacious feeling of clutching groove, polyrhythms and texture will instantly grip dancers. 19th Amendment is a juggernaut of strength and power. It’s groove intensifies as sinister percussion flows.
A name familiar to Hidden Recordings, France based JC Laurent returns for the fourth time with Distressed World. As with each release, expectations are high and the young Frenchman impresses with his latest body of work. He delivers three original tracks inspired by the current state of global affairs: underlying tension, shifts in mood with the need for a steady hand.
JC’s profile continues to rise as well with his newly minted DJ residency at Kwartz Club in Nice, France. Over the course of his nights there, titled ‘JC Laurent Invites’ he has shared the stage with artists such as Jay Clarke, Ryan James Ford, Shlomo, AWB, Adriana Lopez, Oliver Deutschmann and Deepak Sharma.
Accompanying the release on remix duty is Berlin’s Oliver Deutschmann, well-respected for his diverse track selections and varied soundscape, his recent discography includes a 2018 release on Luke Slater’s imprint, Mote Evolver. Showcasing his broad palate of sound, he is only a handful of talents who has DJ’d both Berghain and Panorama Bar over the last 10 years.
